Women Power

About the Project

This project in Kenya is made up of women, mostly widows, who are in extreme poverty and need to develop business skills to be able to keep their families and children in school. They are women who have an average of 5 children each and have come together with the common objective of increasing their income through small businesses such as the sale of vegetables, fruits, vegetables, some animals and products derived from them. These women travel long distances every day to get drinking water as they cannot afford the cost of building a water well. Many of its businesses have been enhanced with the help of volunteers through management and finance classes, as well as new ideas for sustainable programs and family planning.
